PRIME X Community Funding

Community Grants: $22,000 each, awarded annually to partnerships between community organizations and CHRIM-affiliated academic researchers. 

Student-Trainee Fellowships: $10,000 each to place students in community organizations, where they contribute to meaningful mental health projects. 

Who Can Apply? 

Community-Based Organizations

- Community-based organizations in Manitoba partnered with CHRIM-affiliated academic researchers. 

Students

- Students enrolled in a Manitoba post-secondary institution who wish to gain hands-on experience through the student Trainee Fellowship. 

- Open to students from diverse fields, including psychology, social work, education, health sciences, and community development, who are passionate about advancing mental health and equity in Manitoba (must be studying at a MB institutions). 

Priority is given to projects with a clear health equity orientation, particularly those led by or serving underrepresented communities (e.g., Indigenous, newcomer, rural, low-income). 

Partnerships can be existing or newly formed, PRIME X can help connect you to the right partner (matchmaking).
