Funding Opportunities

PRIME X Community Funding

The PRIME Community Grant, worth $22,000 each, is awarded annually to three community organizations in Manitoba to conduct research benefiting their community.

This is intended for organizations that have identified the need for additional support and may benefit from an academic researcher to support their work.

To apply, you must:

  • Be an employee of a Manitoban community-based organization

  • Be a member of the PRIME Community

  • Complete an application by October 17, 2025, at 5 PM.

Partnerships can be existing or newly formed. We can help connect you with the right academic partner through our matchmaking process.

The PRIME Student Fellowships, worth $10,000 each, are scholarships that fund three student fellows at a community organization for one year. Students receive $8000, organizations receive $2000, in monthly instalments.

This is open to students from diverse fields, including psychology, nursing, social work, education, and health sciences, who are passionate about advancing mental health and equity in Manitoba.

To apply, you must:

  • Be an employee of a Manitoban community-based organization, either to support a current student or to be matched with a student.
