Projects should align with PRIME’s focus on family mental health and may include research that incorporates eHealth, community partnership, participant engagement, knowledge translation, or applied mental health research.

Yes. Applicants must include an estimated budget as part of the application form; a separate budget form is not required. Please refer to the example provided in the cognito application form.
The budget should outline the proposed expenses, including an itemized cost breakdown, the total amount requested, and the purpose of each expense. Minor changes may occur as the project progresses, but the estimated budget will help reviewers understand how the requested funds are expected to be used.

The budget should include clear item descriptions, an itemized cost breakdown, the total cost for each item, and the purpose of each expense. Examples may include participant compensation, research assistant support, software licenses, catering for research activities, room rentals, protocol publication costs, or conference registration for an accepted presentation related to the proposed work.

Yes. Previous applicants may apply. Applicants will be asked whether they have applied to the PRIME Trainee Award before and, if yes, to indicate the competition cycle/year and outcome, if known.

Award recipients are expected to acknowledge PRIME and CHRIM funding on associated work and include the PRIME and CHRIM logos where appropriate.
A final report must be submitted within four weeks following the end of the award term. The report should be one page maximum and highlight personnel involved, project outcomes, knowledge learned, future directions, and any award-related achievements.

Yes. Award recipients will be asked to provide a brief research progress update for the PRIME newsletter and website, as well as submit a poster and/or slide for a future PRIME Conference.
