The PRIME X Community Grant, worth $22,000 each, is awarded annually to three community organizations in Manitoba to conduct research to benefit their community.
This is intended for organizations that have identified the need for additional support and may benefit from an academic researcher to support their work.
To apply, you must:
Be an employee of a Manitoban community-based organization
Be a member of the PRIME Community
Complete an application between August 4th and September 29th, 2026 at 5pm.
Partnerships can be existing or newly formed. We can help connect you with the right academic partner through our matchmaking process.

Community organizations may also apply to participate in the PRIME X Student Fellowship as a host organization.
Through this opportunity, community organizations can receive support from a student fellow working one full day or multiple half days per week for one year, excluding holidays.
The fellowship is worth $10,000 total. Students receive $8,000, and host organizations receive $2,000, distributed in monthly installments.
To apply as a community organization, you must:
Be an employee of a Manitoban community-based organization, either to support a current student or to be matched with a student.
Be a member of the PRIME Community.
Complete and submit an application between August 4 and September 29, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
Partnerships can be existing or newly formed. PRIME can help connect organizations with the right student through our matchmaking process. If a match already exists, both the student and the community organization must complete separate applications: one submitted as a Student Applicant and the other as a Community Organization Applicant.
